How to Check the Status of Your WES Credential Evaluation

We understand how important your credential evaluation is — and staying informed about its progress is just as essential. The good news is that there’s a quick way to monitor the status of your evaluation.

We always recommend that you check the progress of your evaluation through your WES account. It’s the fastest and most reliable method of tracking updates and important messages. WES will also send updates by email as your evaluation progresses.
To get started, log in to your WES account.
Once you sign in, you will be taken directly to your account dashboard. Your evaluation will be in one of three stages:
- Application
- Documents
- Evaluation
You can quickly gauge where you are in the process with the tracker on your dashboard.

Beneath the tracker, you will see an update and a description of your application’s current stage. For example, once you have submitted your application and payment, your account will be updated to show the following status:
“We are waiting for your documents.”
This means you’ve successfully completed the initial step in the WES credential evaluation process—this stage will be highlighted in green in your tracker.

Below the update and description, you will find further instructions that are specific to your evaluation. An example of how this additional information will appear is shown below. Be sure to review this update carefully and click on the “Details” link for the required next steps. You can also follow the “View Required Documents” link to review specific instructions for submitting documents from your issuing institution.

Tips for the Evaluation Process
After you submit your application, staying informed and prepared to follow up on actions you’ll need to take will be necessary to ensure that your credential evaluation is completed as efficiently as possible. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Request that the institution you attended send your required documents to WES as soon as possible. You can find more information about your required documents in your WES account.
- Regularly monitor your account to ensure that you don’t miss important deadlines. If your application is on hold, we will notify you by email and update your WES account.
- For support during the evaluation process, we recommend that you explore the many resources we make available.
- Contact customer support using the automated widget accessible through your WES account—this is the quickest and best way to reach our team.
